Next to the Cupcake Cafe, the vanilla cupcakes from the Sage American Kitchen based in LIC are our next favorite choice. There is a slight hint of cream cheese in the vanilla frosting that makes these cupcakes worth braving the horribly inefficient cashiers at Dean & Deluca. A bit of afternoon Friday happiness to top off a good lunch.
