The bún thịt heo nướng (grilled pork over room temperature rice vermicelli) at Phở Bằng, a minor chain of Vietnamese restaurants, is the perfect option for steamy summer days. There are better Vietnamese places than Phở Bằng on Mott Street but their bún thịt heo nướng is pretty satisfying and beats wading through the scent of Chinatown on a hot afternoon.

No veggies in there. No carrots? Beyond that, it looks pretty darmed good. Most jealous...
What kind of Vietnamese dish would it be without veggies? They're underneath... although light on carrots today.
Oh, cool, the new york ones are decent then. We've got one in the suburbs in New Orleans and it rocks.
(same logo and everything, and I recall on the menu it notes a couple of new york locations)
