La Colombe Torrefaction, where they have apparently "perfected the coffee beans preferred by the country’s most successful chefs", comes to Tribeca via Philadelphia. Not to be resisted, we picked up one small black coffee and this pear tart. The pear tart is the same one offered at Joe's, although we suspect it is a Ceci-Cela original. Oh and the coffee is real good.

I see you ended up going to where you knew the coffee was good. Was one tart enough for the whole gang? But then who needs food if you can have that coffee...
