La Esquina Cafe, with Shawn

Occasionally lunch is dictated not by mood but by walking, or in this case, non-walking shoes. Fortunately for us La Esquina is just up the street. Fortunate because chef and friend Rene dreams up some fabulous love. Today he far exceeds our already high expectations with an out of this world dish, "fresh Taylor Bay scallops cooked with pickled jalapenos, Tecate beer, toasted garlic, a little butter and lots of love". And lucky for Shawn who joined us for lunch, helping to sop up every last bit of love.
