Dreary Friday evenings calls for either a stiff scotch or curling up on the couch with a good read. Since we cannot send scotch over the interweb, we'll just have to leave you with a fun detective novel from one of my favorite Victorian era authors, Wilkie Collins. A sensationalist novel, the Woman in White is a bit like reading a soap opera, set in the late 1800's with an overabundance of mystery and mayhem. Perfect for taking your mind off cold rainy nights.

That looks yummy! Where is it from?
Looks delish! Hope your week-end is a good one.
It was quite delicious - probably the best dessert we've tried from Caffe Falai.
This looks amazing! Are all of your items from places in NYC?
Good pairing: Woman in White is pure candy.
jtalpesh: Yup, we're all NYC based although definitely not adverse to trying food elsewhere if the opportunities arise!
ben: Glad to see we have similar reading opinions. We're always welcome to suggestions for good reads...
