"Mini rice balls" are not for everyone - the sweet rice base adds a gummy chewiness that we quite like but can be disconcerting if you're not accustomed to rice cake desserts. Coated in a light layer of sugar, the first bite is all sugary sweetness but then the chewy filling quickly takes over. The ones we picked up from Koryodang Bakery earlier are a bit too greasy, meaning we still haven't found a local replacement for these we had at Paris Baguette last year.

These look so yummy! I love small, sensitive fried items like this.
