Fresco on the Go, with Nicholas

It might seem like an incredible coincidence, running into an old co-worker at a lunch spot blocks away from either of our offices, but if you've ever worked near Fresco on the Go you would not be surprised. Nicholas makes his way back here frequently and anytime we are in the neighborhood, we stop for lunch. A more casual offshoot of the next door restaurant, Fresco by Scotto, the eatery looks typically upscale midtown but serves up a surprisingly delicious (and affordable!) personal size pizza. The cheese is tangy and since it's made to order on pre-prepared pita flat bread the end result is pure pleasure. It's almost always packed here at lunchtime so be ready to fight for a table but at $5.95 for the margherita pizza, it's kind of worth the wait.
