L'Orange Bleu has occupied the corner of Crosby and Broome for as long as we've lived in the city although surprisingly neither of us had ever been. Their outdoor seating is extremely popular in the warm months as drifts of romantic cigarette smoke waft over the cobblestone streets. Billed as French-Moroccan, the lunch menu is typical French bistro including the classic harengs avec pommes a l'huile. I could not resist the slivers of smoked herring topping a warm potato salad, tres Francais. Overall the restaurant is nothing particularly special, although we may have to return in the summer for outdoor terrace eating.
