There's a banh mi craze going on out there! The park was filled with banh mi eating folks today; the recent press must really be taking its affect. But we were sure and proud to be eating special ones, because ours were from Montreal. Nice to have family who will bring down the goods (packaged separately so that freshness can be had when assembled later) when visiting from Canada. These sandwiches are definitely superior to any in this city.

I've visited Montreal a few times but didn't notice any banh mi places or really any Vietnamese restaurants. What is a good place for banh mi in Montreal? (I love banh mi!)
We're not that familiar with other options but my aunt brings them from Hoang Oanh Sandwiches... they have 2 locations in Montreal.
It's on St-Laurent street, 1071 is the address, I believe. The veggie and tofu ones rock!
You can try www.chezquan.ca it's a great restaurant with vietnamese delice, they make their own satay sauce and even more
