We're not the only ones gravely disappointed by the burger at August, Frank Bruni also poo poos the burger. But unlike Mr. Bruni, my beef lays in the bun. There are quite a plethora of burgers that arrive at the table, exhibiting worlds of promise only to be brought crushingly down by a poorly conceived or executed bun. And although you may think this photo looks delicious, I assure that bun was too dense, too hard and dare I say it, slightly stale? Which is a shame because the meat was delicious and the wafer thin pickles a delight. Better luck next time.
