Earlier this morning Dave called. He's an old college friend in town from Boston on work and desperately craving the ejotes (grilled green beans) at La Esquina. Never one to say no to impromptu lunches, especially when they involve green beans, I joined them for a chatty meal of school gossip. Since M and I only recently discovered the hamburger, long touted by fellow food addict Jim, I had to try again. Here you see it with the array of condiments which make it so very wonderful: something mayo, thin slivers of pickled, spicy jalepenos, avocado slices and thin red onions.
