Cafe el Portal, with Tom

Cafe el Portal is one of those places perfect for lunch dates, it's quiet and cozy, affordable and tasty. Tom's suffering the plight of many young architects around the country, so it seemed only right that we at least treat this friend of a friend to lunch at one of our favorite neighborhood joints. Where apparently there is no such thing as a breakfast menu. Which was confusing because they did have an egg menu. From which we all ordered dishes that very strongly resembled breakfast.
