Head yourselves over now to the not quite finished but fabulously revamped cafe at the wonderful independent bookstore, McNally Jackson in Nolita. Okay, so it's a bit of self promotion, as we are the ones behind the new re-design, but it's a great place to hang out regardless. As we were discussing the finishing touches with Sarah, she generously offered us their newly acquired brownies (chocolate tortino) from Sullivan Street Bakery. There's bits of bread crumbs baked in, and the resulting texture is wonderfully light yet toothsome.
