New Malaysia Restaurant, with Kathy

We were chatting with Kathy on email about the Malaysian Kitchen luncheon next week when we figured why wait till next week when we could see one another today for Malaysian! (Not that this will stop us from going next week) It's been ages since we've eaten at New Malaysia in the arcade sandwiched between Bowery and Elizabeth. We each picked a personal dish: I always love roti canai while M. went for a dish from her memories - the egg and beef fried noodle and finally Kathy recommended a chinese herbal soup, the Bak Kut Teh, which neither of us had ever had. We shared it all, topped off with a plate of chicken curry.
