4:00pm applesauce cake

For some strange reason, the inclusion of the word "green" to the Birdbath motto, a "neighborhood green bakery", makes me think of all things vegan. But actually they have a variety of both vegan and non-vegan bakery items including City Bakery's famous pretzel croissant (so famous it has it's own website). And now they are local to Soho and close enough that we stopped by on our way back from lunch for this perfectly nice applesauce cake.
