Nyonya is where we go for reliable comfort foods like young chow fried rice or beef chow fun but it's so much more than comfort. Their roti canai is yum yum, the house special crabs rivals that of Fatty Crab and today we saw a very tempting wonton mee at the next table over. And it's nice to see that the new fancier digs has resulted in larger crowds but no change in the food.

That's hainanese chicken in your photo, though, isn't it? How was it? Thanks for posting about Nyonya - it got panned a little bit in a Chowhound thread on Malaysian food, but I like it very, very much. A couple of other dishes worth trying are the pearl noodles (like fat, chewy chow-fun), the red snapper with Thai sauce, the chicken curry appetizer (into which you dip lovely, light baguette made with rice flour, so it's lighter and crispier than a traditional french baguette), and always, always chendol, which I've learned should be ordered with the meal rather than as a dessert: it's crushed ice with a coconut milk and condensed milk over top, with beans and little pea flour goodies at the bottom. It's a wonderful foil to the heat of some of the food.
Try their garlic chicken-- it's amazing, but really the only thing I particularly like on their menu.
Wow, thanks for the suggestions guys, more things to try for next time!
