June slipped by in a blur and so it was already mid-July before we realized our bi-annual lunch with Liz and Peter had almost slipped by. We wanted to try Maialino but I guess so did everyone else as it was completely booked for lunch this week. Instead we went more local to DBGB for their Restaurant Week menu. Everyone agreed the entire meal was consistent, and while not out of this world spectacular, pretty damn good. The salads were interesting and well dressed, the new to the menu, loukanika lamb and pork sausage was a hit with us all. The roughly ground meat came in 4 oblong meatballs and was just spicy enough to give the dish a small bit of kick. Not a bad choice for a bi-annual lunch.
