Aaaaaah. We ate too much. But honestly, Shanghai Cafe really had their game on today. We started with soup dumplings that must have just been made, the freshest yet that I've had there. Then string beans with the slightest bit of crunch, seasoned with a smattering of salty ground pork. Finally the pièce de résistance, a whole braised ginger and scallion fish, laden with a brown sauce, but proving to be incongruously light in taste and texture. We didn't stop eating until there was nothing left to eat.
