Red Egg, with Danny and Shawn

Yesterday marked the start of a new year! Year of the Cat if you're Vietnamese, and Year of the Rabbit for everyone else. For the regular working crowd, it might not mean much but we always try and have a meal to celebrate another beginning. I'm not sure Red Egg's braised noodles with black mushrooms count as longevity noodles for the New Year, but it's the gesture that counts. It's a small gesture, but in a holiday filled with symbolism and an emphasis on good luck for the upcoming year, it's worth making the effort.
