4:23pm chocolate and bacon cookies

We had a lovely visitor this morning bearing us beautiful treats.  Kimberly a.k.a. The Food Maven, so generously brought us some of her delicious creations.  Pictured here are the chocolate and bacon cookies with French sea salt; intensely smokey, sweet and salty.  It's like the perfect bite of your favorite french toast slathered in butter, dipped in maple syrup and and forked into your mouth with a bit of bacon.  Kimberly, who also runs a catering business The Dinner Belle with her best friend/business partner, was brimming with such good food energy, that we immediately looked forward to a future lunch together.
