Our biannual lunches with Liz and Peter really mark the passage of time, 6 months lapse between meals, but it always feels like yesterday. For a restaurant that's been been around since 1984, Gotham Bar & Grill's menu has kept surprisingly up-to-date, even if the decor has not. The food is sophisticated and fresh, consistently so across all the dishes we tried. And at $25, the prix fixe lunch special of appetizer and entree is a pretty wonderful deal, especially considering the marginally better than average $23 steak from Felix last week.
