I should have known better than to count on fresh bread today, the day after a city-wide shutdown, but we had a potluck Friday night and I have been slowly, and enthusiastically, making my way through the leftovers. Yesterday we had shredded pork and salsa over white rice, lovingly made by Jen, a most fantastic lunch. Today I was especially looking forward to a fresh baguette stuffed with butter and the wonderful Italian meats from Eataly that Danny brought. And despite not great bread, the prosciutto and bresaola continued to shine through.
