Cafe Select, with the ladies

Jenny and I made plans for lunch ages ago but I never picked a place and at 11am this morning I got an email asking me where to meet. I was in the middle of a frantic running from here to there and back again and said the first thing that popped in my mind, Cafe Select, even though we were just there a month ago. As M. says, everything there is good but not so extraordinary that you wouldn't try something new. Which I think is a good thing. Feeling off-the-wall, I went for a grilled chicken salad, but mostly because of the potato salad and avocado accompaniment. Gunna, Jenny's friend, wolfed down the croque monsieur in less time than it takes to spit sideways. Which I think is a good thing too.
