Several newcomers this year to the lunch roster have already started becoming regulars in our monthly rotation. The falafel platter at Ba'al Falafel in West Soho is delightfully fresh, quick and inexpensive. The best part is you can choose your own sides, satisfying all picky and non-picky palettes. Forcella is new only to Manhattan, having been a Brooklynite for much longer. We adore the chewy crust and for its addictive deliciousness are willing to overlook the slightly soggy centers. Finally, we cannot stay away from the soba at Cocoran, whether it's dipping soba into hot broths or eating it straight up cold.
