These may look like classic French madelines but per the woman at La Churreria, they are financiers, ala the Spanish. Frankly I could care less what they're called, from now on M. and I are going to refer to them as crack financiers. Because there is something about the sugary crunchy exterior and moist interior that make them addictive as crack.
