Lebkuchen may only surface Stateside around Christmas time but I guess they are always available in their country of birth, das würde Deutschland, where someone recently went on business and oh so thoughtfully remembered to bring us back this treat.

Actually no, Lebuchen are typical for christmas bakery here in Germany, just as Stollen and Printen.
