It's only been a couple of months since Batali opened Babbo up to a lunch crowd, a rather smart move on his part if you were to judge by the busy dining room. Of course we tried an assortment of dishes, splitting 3 asparagus and 1 fried egg 4 ways. I wanted to order the crispy branzino that Liz got, but I ended up with, and loving, the orecchiette. Though M. was not as impressed with the meal, I did find Peter's grilled octopus quite lovely.
