L'asso, with Tomoko

An old dear friend is in town from the other side of the world so we took her to L'asso for a light touch of pizza. There I ordered an 'ah-rahn-TCHAH-tah' and was informed by the waitress, "Here we pronounce it 'ah-RANH-cee-a-ta'". Hmm. M. and I wondered if all this time L'asso was actually a Spanish restaurant and not Italian as we assumed and as its name seems to indicate. Next time maybe I will say oranageade instead.
