This sour rhubarb pastry is a little mysterious. Is it a cake, a coffee cake, a crumble or a tart? Maybe it's all of the above with a firmer base (almost a pastry base) with a slight cheese danish or flaugnarde center and crumbly top. Whatever it was, I wouldn't run out to get another one, but I did enjoy the not too sweet, fruity accessibility of the dessert. I could easily have one for breakfast, when I want something a little different.
