What is a "pepparkaka" you ask? We surmise it's a Swedish gingersnap, in this case, in the shape of christmas ornaments. True, it is way too early to even say the word Christmas out loud, however, if these cookies didn't have a hole or come in a pine green package, we wouldn't have even given it a thought. I like my gingersnaps spicier, but when you want a little something, not too sweet to go along with your afternoon caffeine, these do the trick.
