In Brief: There are few places left in the city that are as delightfully old-school as Eisenberg's. They're famous for their tuna melt, and we're partial to their fried bologna sandwich on rye.
Eisenberg's hasn't changed in the two decades that we've known it, it's a pure authentic NYC diner and I hope it always remains so. We first started going back in the days when architects inhabited the Flatiron, the days when they could afford the rents. It's been awhile, but Eisenberg's is sure to make the tried and true roster. I love their fried baloney sandwiches but was feeling more chopped liver today. My sister, on the other hand, went crazy with a platter of hot turkey, veggies and french fries. The girl can eat I tell you.
