5:05pm mille crepe cake

There was a birthday in the office yesterday and we were all treated to the extraordinary mille crepe cake from Lady M. If you don't know what this is, I beg you to beg your loved ones to order one for your next birthday. Lady M. layers 20 thin crepes with the lightest of pastry creams and then caramelizes the top like a creme brulee. The resulting slice is heavenly. The filling tastes like a homemade whipped cream it was so airy and interspersed in each bite are all the subtle layers of crepe. I know what I'm ordering the next time I have a dinner party.
