I've been craving a lobster roll ever since Memorial Day when I had a slightly less than stellar one at the beach. And as I walked out the door into the humidity and heat of today I remembered that Madison Square Eats ends today. If you work in the neighborhood, you probably know to avoid the triangle of food and packed crowds. It's madness there. Still. I stood in a line 10 people deep, in the burning sun, waiting patiently the 15 minutes to order my maine roll from the Red Hook Lobster Pound. It came like you see it, no bag, just lobster roll. I ever so gingerly walked back to the office, holding it carefully in both hands lest someone accidentally knocked into me and that precious thing went spilling over.
