In brief: The few things we have tried have all been good, but the dry sauteed string beans and ma po tofu are what we go back for time and time again.
Not the best day to wander too far so we went for comfort at the only Chinese restaurant within blocks of the office, Homes Kitchen. For once there were empty tables and we sat down immediately. M. wanted to try the sliced pork, tofu and celery dish that is like crack elsewhere. Here it's nice, but not addictive. Certainly sufficient for a comforting rice lunch.
