4:34pm black and white cookie

As my husband's family, North Shore of Boston thank you very much, likes to point out, you just can't find a decent half moon cookie in NYC. Here they make them with a vanilla base but the chocolate cake base is the proper way to go. When I first heard this, I thought how silly, of course you can find real half moons with chocolate cake bases in the city, but actually it's quite difficult. I haven't come across one yet.
