India Club House, with Lauren

We received an invitation not too long ago to attend an inaugural lunch book club hosted by the incomparable Lauren, at the maritime themed India Club House. M. and I do not often frequent social clubs but I can see the allure. The India Club House is especially lovely with its creaky wood floors, white crown moulding and serenity everywhere you look. Impeccable service and a rather tasty luncheon accompanied our book-ish discussion. Because Lauren picked an easy story to love, Michael Ondaatje's The Cat's Table, our conversation meandered trippingly along.
