I sat there, deeply conflicted, staring at Rye's menu. On the one hand the kale caesar salad sounded so nice but on the other hand I really wanted to try the Pittsburgh sandwich. I almost persuaded M. to split both with me but the server saved us all by announcing that the lunch specials today were any combination of salad or soup with sandwich. I got exactly what I wanted then, though if you assumed the sandwich would be half size, it's not. It is, however, a more refined version of the classic Primanti Bros, better meat, less cole slaw, less french fries, nicer bread. Hard to tell which I actually prefer.
