M. had an errand to run at lunch time so I was left alone to decide what to eat or where to go. Which I found myself completely unable to do. Finally I just left and walked down Broadway, walked into CraftBar, where I'd never been, and plunked myself down at the bar. I really love solo bar eating, it's somehow less lonely than eating alone at a table. I always bring a book so I don't have to talk to anyone, but I like the congenial atmosphere of sitting next to strangers. The first half of the chicken liver pate and wild arugula salad was quite nice, but got a bit too salty by the end.
