In brief: Good in groups because there is always room and its fun to share. Not cheap but truly good southern comfort foods and BBQ.
Though we've gone several times, I've never found the ordering system at Hill Country that intuitive. Nor did John who met us for lunch. I felt like I kept losing him trailing behind me to the different stations and back to the table. It's helpful for large groups because everyone is responsible for their own check and you can avoid any discussions (or ehem resentment) on who drank what and who owes how much. But for us old friends sharing a pound of moist brisket and four sides, the individual cards doesn't really do much.
