In brief: Unless they bring back the $9 lunch special, there is no reason to overspend at this generic Italian restaurant

Two months ago we were firmly on the side of an 8 for Bocca. It was impossible to beat the reasonably good pastas, cooked to the right side of firmness, and all for $9 at lunch. Today we went back to discover the $9 lunch madness had disappeared. Leaving in its place a $17 prix fixe or regular priced entree. Maybe if the pasta had been perfect today, it would still rate an occasional visit, but it wasn't even close to perfect.
