In brief: We could eat here everyday. To us, everything about this place is golden. We would eat through their entire greasy menu, but we can't get past their fried meatloaf and homemade challah.
One of the guys behind the counter still recognized Y, I am afraid one of these days he will not, since now we have even less reason to be in the East Village. That just made me want to make a point to eat here more often.

You make even diner-y food look wonderful! And what luck--you convinced me enough to look it up for myself, and it's Polish, just like my boyfriend. I'm doubly going there now.
