In brief: Comforting food for a cold wet day. 
I must be stocking up on my Asian food fix before leaving for Germany for a couple weeks. Yesterday we had Japanese, today Chinese, tomorrow I'll have to drag M. up to K-town for kimchi. We often end up at Homes Kitchen on rainy days, I'm guessing there is something subconscious about wanting the comfort of white rice in inclement weather.
