The $9.50 lunch special is still the best way to go, though we were tempted by fried rice bowls at the table one over from ours. It's not just the roast chicken falling off the bone that draws us in. It's the addictive green sauce that Andrea at Serious Eats devoted hours trying to decipher the secret. It's the tart vinaigrette over the greatest side salad of all time. It's the always friendly waitstaff, the smell that wafts over you as you enter the front door, it's everything that makes a person happy.
